Job Description

About the team: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and prioritizing assets (manpower, materials, machine availability, and other resources) to support the manufacturing facility. This role involves facilitating programs and processes for asset reliability and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager at our Gray Court, SC facility.

What to look forward to as a Maintenance Supervisor:

1. Lead Maintenance Operations: Manage and direct mechanical/electrical technicians, MRO/Crib Attendants, and Maintenance Planners to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation.
2. Asset Care & Preventive Maintenance: Oversee cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and predictive analysis; develop preventive maintenance programs with cross-functional teams to improve machine uptime.
3. Training & Development: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate training for maintenance staff to ensure qualification, compliance, and continuous development.
4. Resource & Project Coordination: Plan materials, support, and manpower for daily operations, shutdowns, and projects, including tool refurbishment and use of SAP PM and Axalant systems.
5. Compliance & Safety: Enforce adherence to safety, environmental, and ISO/IATF standards; maintain First Responder certification and administer corporate programs.
6. Process Improvement & Reliability: Identify and implement improvements to reduce failures, enhance equipment reliability, and control maintenance costs, including warranty and MRO tracking.
7. Shift & Communication Management: Facilitate communication between shifts, prioritize work orders, approve timecards, and manage performance, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
8. Operational Readiness & Technical Proficiency: Ensure equipment, tools, and components are maintained to specifications; interpret blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.

Your profile as a Maintenance Supervisor:

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with 2–5+ years of relevant maintenance or manufacturing experience.
• Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of maintenance concepts, machining, and production equipment repair.
• Leadership & Training: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and train team members on equipment maintenance.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve maintenance-related issues.
• Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Computer Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and general computer usage.
• Language Skills: Competency in the English language, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility: Willingness and availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, to meet operational demands.
