As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance and grounds at the Grand Forks Armory Complex in Grand Forks, ND. Duties include providing consistent maintenance services while adhering to safety practices and procedures. This is a 'working' supervisor position reporting to the Physical Plant Director.
The Maintenance Supervisor will perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and equipment operation tasks. You will oversee maintenance personnel, determine work schedules, conduct training, maintain inventory of maintenance equipment and repair parts, determine equipment maintenance needs, and carry out a preventative maintenance program. You will conduct physical inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure standards are met. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., possess a valid driver's license, and may require working some weekends or additional hours. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for dealing with contractors, clients, and the public. A pesticide applicator's license or the ability to obtain one by a date set by the Physical Plant Director is also required.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and five (5) years of semi-skilled or skilled building, mechanical, groundskeeping, maintenance, or construction work involving the operation of maintenance equipment, with experience in a supervisory or lead-worker capacity. Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, and a background investigation are required.
