Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. operates senior living communities, including Harbor View Assisted Living in Granbury, TX, seeking a Maintenance Director to lead preventative maintenance of the facility, grounds, and equipment.

You will troubleshoot issues and coordinate licensed vendors for specialized tasks, while supporting residents with basic moves as needed. This role requires hands-on supervision of maintenance staff, a strong safety mindset, and reliable electrical/plumbing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Prior experience in managing a team.
• Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of fixtures and plumbing systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; clean driving record with no major violations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ongoing preventative maintenance of the facility building, equipment and grounds and troubleshoots maintenance problems.
• Performs most tasks independently and coordinates with licensed vendors for specialized tasks.
• Assists residents with moving and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintains safety procedures and infection control measures when applicable.

About the Opportunity

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the ongoing preventative maintenance of the facility building, equipment and grounds and for troubleshooting maintenance problems when they arise. Ensures that maintenance services are available for emergency needs that may arise outside of regular working hours. Performs most tasks independently and utilizes properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance with tasks when needed. Assists residents with moving and minor repairs.

• Practices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.
• Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Prior experience in managing a team.
• Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; must have clean driving record with no major violations.
