Job summary

The Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations, ensure safety, and keep the facility compliant and functional. You will manage a team, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with external contractors to support daily operations.

This role requires hands-on knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, generators, and related building systems along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, emergency systems.
• Ability to implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with supply ordering and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations, hire and supervise staff.
• Conduct and document safety inspections and drills.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect and repair HVAC, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Oversee budgeting and purchasing for maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate external contractors.
• Ensure facility and equipment meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide training to staff on safety procedures.

We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team! In this role, you will lead maintenance operations to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and compliant. Success in this position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact as a Maintenance Supervisor

In this role, you will:

• Lead Maintenance Operations: Hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members
• Promote Safety & Compliance: Conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills
• Oversee Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program
• Maintain Equipment: Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators
• Manage Supplies & Budget: Order maintenance supplies and equipment while adhering to budget guidelines
• Supervise Contractors: Oversee and coordinate work by external contractors
• Maintain Standards: Ensure the facility and its equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with all regulations
• Train Staff: Provide job‑specific training and promote adherence to safety procedures
• Coordinate Schedules: Plan department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets
