Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams in a world-class facility. The role focuses on safety, asset management, and continuous improvement within a unionized environment.

You will coach trades, monitor performance, and drive production efficiency while maintaining strong relationships across hourly teams and management. A formal education and supervisory experience are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience supervising manufacturing teams and coordinating maintenance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safety culture and enforce workplace policies.
  • Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel in asset management.
  • Leverage machine monitoring tools to reduce interruptions in production flow.
  • Build strong relationships with hourly team members, union and management.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and partners.
  • Administer the collective bargaining agreement consistently and evaluate performance.

The Maintenance Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression.

What you'll do...
  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies
  • Lead/ coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to: asset availability (mean time to repair, mean time between failure), cycle time, preventative maintenance, predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies.
  • Lead/coach teams in leveraging new and existing machine monitoring tools to identify constraints in the system and systematically reduce and eliminate interruptions in production flow.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.
  • Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers
  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively
  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement
You’ll have...
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
  • Mechanical aptitude

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.
