Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Establish daily work priorities and assign maintenance tasks.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure proper staffing and support overtime or weekend maintenance activities as required.
  • Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related equipment issues.
  • Ensure rapid response to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor work order completion and equipment history through the CMMS.
  • Verify repairs are completed safely and effectively before return to production.
  • Identify recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in capital improvement projects and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety policies.
  • Enforce LOTO, confined space, machine guarding, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings and incident investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage maintenance parts inventory and outside services.
  • Control maintenance expenditures within budgets.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, EH&S, and Operations leadership.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily activities of the maintenance department to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production equipment, utilities, and facility systems. This position supervises maintenance technicians, prioritizes preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manages contractor work, and partners closely with production leadership to maximize equipment uptime while maintaining compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities-Maintenance Manager
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Establish daily work priorities and assign maintenance tasks based on business needs.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure proper staffing and support overtime or weekend maintenance activities asrequired.
Maintenance Operations
  • Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related equipment issues.

  • Monitor work order completion and equipment history through the CMMS.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to improve reliability and reduce costs.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in capital improvement projects and equipment installations.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, machine guarding, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings and incident investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Inventory & Budget Management
  • Manage maintenance parts inventory and critical spare components.
  • Coordinate purchasing of maintenance materials and outside services.
  • Control maintenance expenditures within approved budgets.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and ensure quality workmanship.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • The Maintenance Manager will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, EH&S, and Operations leadership.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and communicate equipment status.
  • Assistin developing maintenance strategies that support production goals.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Knowledge of VFDs, automation, and industrial controls.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Forklift, aerial lift, or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements
  • The Maintenance Manager should have the ability to lift up to50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, dusty environments, and outdoor conditions.
  • Must be available for emergency call-ins, weekends, and occasional overtime.
