Job summary

Center for Disability Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our long-term care facility in Albany. You will direct and coordinate maintenance activities, supervise staff, and ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently.

The role requires knowledge of electrical, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems, strong problem-solving, and the ability to communicate instructions in writing. High school diploma or equivalent and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong supervision of maintenance staff.
• Ability to interpret complex issues and provide written instructions.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate maintenance department activities and staff.
• Oversee operation of building systems including electrical, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing.
• Prepare daily work plans and provide written and verbal directions.
• Report to Director of Maintenance.

The Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates maintenance department activities, functions and staff in a long term care facility. Supervises staff in maintaining, servicing and operating all facility equipment, fixtures, grounds and ensures overall working condition and appearance of building grounds and facilities. Has a thorough knowledge of commercial building equipment, operations, can trouble shoot electric, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing infrastructure. Responsible for the day to day supervision, planning and organizing the work. Ability to provide detailed instructions and direction to staff both verbal and in writing. Can interpret and understand complex issues and problems. Ability to use computer systems and programs, MS Excel, Word etc. Reports directly to the Director of Maintenance. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this positions and able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

Compensation Range

$28.37 - $30.72
