Brief Description

General James M. Gavin Power Plant is a 2,600-megawatt supercritical coal-fired power station in Cheshire, Ohio, owned by Lightstone Generation LLC, a joint venture of The Blackstone Group L.P. and ArcLight Capital.

The Maintenance Supervisor directs and supervises employees and contractors maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation. Responsibilities include work planning, scheduling, problem solving, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and plan plant activities including installation, overhaul, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment, instruments, controls, and buildings.
• Participate in weekly work schedule meetings, develop prioritized schedules, and plan for contracting services and outages.
• Conduct job briefs focusing on hazard identification, maintain safe working conditions, and ensure proper use of tools and PPE.
• Investigate abnormal conditions, equipment failures, and design issues; analyze root causes and promote improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors, assist in bid development, track budgets, and contribute to maintenance and capital plans.
• Participate in On Call rotation and work occasional overtime, including weekends and nights for urgent jobs.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies and safety standards; participate in safety meetings and accident investigations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree and 5 years of power plant or industrial experience, or 8 years related work experience.
• Knowledge of plant systems, equipment, and processes.
