Job summary

Birgo Realty is seeking a mission-driven working supervisor with plumbing expertise and strong administrative skills to oversee multiple multifamily properties in Tonawanda, Buffalo, and Hamburg. You will leverage technology to streamline work orders, lead a two-person maintenance team, and improve residents' lives through efficient operations.

The role is on-site, Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation, and includes generous benefits as part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Expertise in plumbing and other residential maintenance trades.
• 3+ years experience as a supervisor.
• 5+ years experience in multifamily maintenance.
• Multi-site experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage apartment turnovers, work orders, inventory, and groundskeeping.
• Complete high-skilled work (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall) to lower vendor costs.
• Operate in a paperless environment by processing work orders through mobile devices and apps such as AppFolio.
• Set safety expectations for the team and adhere to company safety standards.
• Lead two maintenance techs, including hiring, training, and career development.
• Monitor expenditures and adhere to budget.
• Source and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and suppliers as necessary.
• Support renovations, preventative maintenance, and construction projects as needed.
• Serve as liaison between property management and maintenance teams.
• Manage on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned to improve lives through real estate.

Successful Candidate Profile

Work Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle with registration and insurance
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases

Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in plumbing and other residential maintenance trades
• 5+ years experience in multifamily maintenance
• 3+ years experience as a supervisor
• Multi-site experience
