Job summary

Boulevard seeks a facilities maintenance supervisor for our healthcare campus in Boynton Beach, FL. You will oversee the on-site maintenance program, manage staff, and ensure mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The role requires a minimum high school diploma and 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, ideally in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of properties and facilities maintenance experience.
  • Prior maintenance experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of skilled nursing facilities a plus.
  • Prior experience supervising and managing maintenance staff a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the center's on-site maintenance program, including essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment, as well as maintenance staff.
  • Ensure employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.
  • Diagnoses technical and mechanical problems and facilitate repairs.
  • Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
  • Oversees safety program and preventative maintenance.
  • In absence of a security officer, may be responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, residents and all visitors
  • Coordinates and oversees activities of outside contractors, trades people in construction, repair and maintenance of physical plant and equipment.
  • Apply building and safety codes to facility situations and maintenance procedures to meet acceptable standards of quality.
  • Makes prompt efforts to resolve all residents and staff concerns or grievances related to facilities and conditions under the incumbent's direction
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises the maintenance and physical plant staff and others for whom they are administratively responsible.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTMay be required to respond to critical issues on a 24/7 basis. Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, see, talk and hear. May occasionally lift medium to heavy objects.
