Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep of our apartment communities. You will perform maintenance tasks, run apartment make-ready procedures, and conduct regular inspections to ensure a safe, clean living environment for residents and visitors.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills, plus the ability to work on-call during emergencies. A capable, organized approach to tools and inventory is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the Approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
