Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform a range of upkeep tasks across our apartment communities. You will maintain building systems, handle make-ready procedures, and address on-site issues to keep residents safe and comfortable.

This role requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance, plus strong time management and the ability to work on-call emergencies. Experience in property maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills essential for working on various projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as: painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
