Position Title

Second shift Maintenance Superintendent

Position Reports to

Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

1. Managing daily maintenance of assigned areas, including:

• Boiler Room (and all areas assigned to that)
• Refrigeration (and all areas assigned to that)
• Showcase of assigned areas (painting, caulking, flooring, etc.)
• Plant-wide maintenance (ensuring tasks are completed as needed for specific areas)

Perform hands-on maintenance activities.

Manage Preventative Maintenance programs and ensure all work orders are completed on schedule.

Schedule and oversee preoperational testing and inspections prior to production start.

Inspect and evaluate equipment condition, set up evaluation schedules, and prepare reports with repair recommendations.

Ensure proper cleaning procedures are established and followed to prevent damage and adhere to manufacturer guidelines.

Directly report all maintenance mechanics assigned to these areas.

Hold weekly maintenance progress and safety meetings, providing written reports.

Utilize CMMS effectively for maintenance management.

Manage area improvement programs with proper documentation.

Attend weekly production and safety meetings as requested.

Fill in for other maintenance supervisors during absences or vacancies.

Conduct performance appraisals and manage attendance for direct reports.

Implement skills development programs and set goals for maintenance staff.

Perform additional duties and special assignments as needed.

Assist with other areas as required.

Additional Information

• Work hours are dictated by the production schedule, including weekends, with rotation coordinated with boiler operators.
• Available to work any shift as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and guidelines during work.
