Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in facility maintenance; healthcare/LTC/senior living preferred.
• HVAC and plumbing troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with life safety and environmental standards in healthcare settings.
• Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, urgency, and communication.
• Nice to have: Boiler license, EPA 608, basic electrical knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain summer landscaping tasks (mulching, mowing) and winter snow removal.
• HVAC: troubleshoot RTUs/boilers; set up temporary heating/cooling during outages.
• Plumbing: maintain hot water systems, mixing valves, troubleshoot toilets/floor drains.
• Life safety compliance: support drills, extinguishers, egress, emergency lighting.
• Preventative maintenance: execute PM schedules, track work orders and parts.
• General maintenance: minor electrical, carpentry, painting; vendor coordination and escorting.

Maintenance Assistant

We’re seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Assistant to support building systems and resident safety in our Long‑Term Care community. The ideal candidate brings strong HVAC and plumbing skills, a proactive approach to life safety compliance, and strong critical thinking to solve issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility includes summer landscaping including mulching and cutting grass and winter snow removal.
• HVAC: Maintain and troubleshoot RTUs, boilers, and set up temporary heating/cooling solutions during outages or emergencies.
• Plumbing: Maintain hot water systems, mixing valves, and water temperatures; troubleshoot toilets/flush valves, floor drains, and grease traps.
• Life Safety Compliance: Support fire/life safety systems (e.g., drills, extinguishers, egress, emergency lighting) and documentation per regulatory standards.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute PM schedules for building systems and equipment; track work orders and parts.
• General Maintenance: Minor electrical, carpentry, painting, and grounds as needed; vendor coordination and escorting.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-3+ years in facility maintenance; healthcare/LTC/senior living preferred.
• Technical: HVAC and plumbing troubleshooting; boilers, RTUs, hot water loops, mixing valve calibration.
• Compliance: Familiarity with life safety and environmental standards for healthcare settings.
• Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, urgency, and communication.
• Nice to Have: Boiler license, EPA 608, basic electrical knowledge.
• Other: Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background and pre-employment checks.

Physical & Work Conditions

• Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.; frequent walking, bending, and ladder work.
• Work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and tight spaces; occasional after-hours/on‑call support.
