Job summary

CBRE Maintenance Sr. Technician position supporting a major technology client with building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations.

This is a Monday through Friday day shift offering a stable schedule in a fast-paced, customer‑focused environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot door hardware, basic electrical and low‑voltage work, paint and other facility repairs; manage work orders and assist with installation of building equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to use procedures to solve standard problems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Assign work orders and estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect new installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.

About The Role

As a CBRE Maintenance Sr. Technician, you will support a major technology client by maintaining building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. This is a Monday through Friday day shift position offering a stable schedule and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is part of CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services team and is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with a general handyman background. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting door hardware, basic electrical and low-voltage work, painting, and other general facility repairs to support daily building operations.

What You'll Do

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
