Job summary

ITC Holdings Corp. seeks an experienced transmission line engineer to support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of transmission line components.

The role coordinates the maintenance program across ITCT and METC footprints, including capital and O&M work, and manages designs, materials, and field implementation. Responsibilities include reviewing designs, partnering with field teams, producing estimates, and developing data systems for maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Six+ years of related work experience for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of transmission line components.
• Coordinate and track the transmission line maintenance program for ITCT/METC footprints for capital and O&M work.
• Prepare estimates and coordinate material requisitions, specifications and drawings for internally designed projects.
• Implement maintenance projects by reviewing designs and working with field personnel/contractors to ensure completion.
• Participate in field site visits for review and coordination of capital and O&M maintenance.
• Review and approve designs created by other engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers and departments to manage resources or maintenance work.
• Participate in Line Design Standards activities and support the Line Design Standards Committee.
• Develop and maintain programs and data systems for transmission line maintenance.
• Generate internal and external reports on various facets of the transmission system.
• Review and provide feedback on third party requests that affect assets and verify third-party costs.
• Attend meetings and training sessions to increase professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
• Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in related area for Senior level
• Possess sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and individuals inside and outside the Company.
• Ability to learn and utilize job-specific software.
• Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision, in a team environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Ability to travel offsite for field visits.
• Ability to travel to support geographically diverse business operations.
