Responsibilities

• Provides technical support for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of transmission line components.
• Reviews and coordinates the transmission line maintenance program across ITCT, METC, and ITCGP footprints for capital and O&M work.
• Prepares estimates and coordinates material requisitions, specs, and drawings for internal projects.
• Implements maintenance projects by reviewing designs and working with field personnel/contractors to ensure successful completion.
• May review and approve designs created by other engineers.
• Collaborates with other engineers and departments; supports resources and maintenance work.
• Participates in Line Design Standards activities and may support committee work.
• Develops and maintains programs/data systems related to transmission line maintenance.
• Generates internal/external reports on transmission system aspects.
• Reviews third-party requests affecting assets and verifies costs for shared maintenance.
• Attends meetings and training to increase professional knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
• Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in related area for an Intermediate Engineer level.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in related area for Senior Engineer level
• Possess sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and individuals inside and outside the Company.
• Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision, in a team environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Ability to learn and utilize job specific software.
