Role Overview

The Maintenance Specialist provides the university with the skills and labor needed to maintain our facility in the highest state of readiness for faculty, staff, and students. This role performs tasks assigned by the Facility Services Manager, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance for safety and upkeep.
• Maintain all painted surfaces on campus.
• Perform light construction and remodeling.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and inclement weather.
• Assist with university events, craftsman tasks, and support Facility Services.
• Train student workers as directed.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in repairs.

Must-Have Skills

• Ability to use all hand tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 65 pounds and perform physical tasks (climb ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, stand long periods).
