The City of Bartow is seeking a maintenance worker to perform intermediate skilled tasks across construction, maintenance, and repair projects. The role involves operating specialized equipment under supervision and contributing to facility safety and upkeep.
Responsibilities include inspections, routine repairs, painting, drywall patching, and coordinating major repairs with internal customers. A valid Florida driver’s license and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays are required.
Performs intermediate skilled work on a variety of construction, maintenance and repair projects. Operates specialized equipment in connection with task. Does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.

Highschool diploma or equivalent; 0 to 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities and other competencies necessary for the position.
