Pocketbook Agency is assisting a private family in Westchester County, NY, to find an experienced Maintenance Specialist/Carpenter/Handyman who will act as the right hand to the estate manager.

The role requires hands-on expertise across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, with a focus on high-quality workmanship and proactive problem solving. Opportunity to contribute to renovations, groundskeeping, and ongoing maintenance in a luxury residence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a skilled tradesperson across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or general construction.
• Expert knowledge of building systems, tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to identifying and solving maintenance needs with creative, effective solutions.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to juggle multiple priorities.

Job description

A private family is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Maintenance Specialist / Carpenter / Handyman to serve as a true right hand to the estate manager at a private residence in Westchester County!

This is a higher-level, trades-oriented role supporting the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the residence and surrounding property. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise across multiple construction and building systems, managing both routine repairs and custom projects with precision and professionalism. Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship across a wide range of projects and maintenance responsibilities.

• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing demanding manual labor.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and vendors.
• Valid driver's license
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is a significant plus.

Schedule

Full-time Onsite, M-F

Compensation

$125,000 to $150,000K DOE + comprehensive benefits package.
