Vonachen Group is seeking a Maintenance Specialist in Menominee, MI to maintain grounds, exterior areas, and equipment for a clean, safe environment. You will operate lawn care and snow removal equipment, perform basic repairs, and support day-to-day maintenance tasks on a part-time schedule.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and familiar with power tools and landscaping equipment. This on-site role offers daily pay and 401(k) eligibility after start.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, weeding, landscaping.
• Operate and maintain lawn care and snow removal equipment.
• Conduct minor facility repairs (light carpentry, painting).
• Maintain and organize supply inventory; report low levels.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment per safety protocols.

Vonachen Group is looking to hire a Maintenance Specialist in Menominee, MI.

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the grounds, exterior areas, and equipment of the property to ensure a clean, safe, and well-kept environment for employees, visitors, and customers. This hands-on role involves operating and maintaining lawn care and snow removal equipment, completing basic facility repairs, and supporting day-to-day maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and has a working knowledge of power tools, landscaping equipment, and seasonal property upkeep.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and seasonal landscaping.
• Operate and maintain lawn care and snow removal equipment, including mowers, blowers, trimmers, and snow blowers/plows.
• Conduct minor facility repairs including light carpentry, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and outdoor areas.
• Maintain and organize supply inventory, including replenishing stock and reporting low levels.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment, following company safety protocols and reporting hazards.
• Support coordination between the maintenance team, company leadership, and customer contacts.
• Repair floor equipment such as vacuums and floor machines (auto scrubbers etc).
• Assist with basic warehouse duties and other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Skills & Abilities:

• Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Drivers License and able to pass MVR
• Experience with groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance preferred
• Familiarity with snow removal equipment is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
• Part Time 1st Shift
• Mon, Wed, Fri 11am-3pm
• $17/hr
• 401(k) eligible
