Job summary

Vonachen Group in Mt. Vernon, IL is hiring a General Laborer for full-time shifts. You will operate sweepers and forklifts, perform maintenance tasks, and support grounds work while upholding safety and customer service standards.

The position offers daily Pay options, comprehensive benefits including medical, life, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan after probation. Shift options include 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Wage starts at $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Willing to pass safety trainings (Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Confined Spaces, Aerial Lifts, Forklift, Gator/Cart, Fall Protection, PPE).
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sweepers/scrubbers to clean factory floors.

Job Skills / Requirements

The General Laborer is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities:

• Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors
• Safely operate a forklift
• Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators)
• Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder (e.g., scissor lift, articulating lift)
• Operate, pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools
• Assist in the performance of building/equipment maintenance duties (e.g., recycling, painting, filter changes, fabrication machinery support, and coolant services)
• Perform grounds maintenance services (e.g., landscaping and snow removal)
• Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
• Complete other duties as assigned
