Job summary

SJ Mobilita is seeking an experienced Maintenance Site Superintendent to oversee facilities maintenance, construction, installation, renovation, and infrastructure improvements for a leading client in Farmington, CT.

The role requires strong project management and leadership in an active production environment, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and operational continuity while coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex construction, facilities, or maintenance projects in active production environments.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead internal teams, contractors, vendors, and facility stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Experience with MaintainX preferred.
• Attention to detail with commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
• Ability to work hands-on and respond to urgent maintenance and facility requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily check-ins and monitor construction and facility projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
• Provide input on project budgets, cost estimates, financials, and forecasting.
• Work closely with the Department Manager to develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring alignment with facility requirements.
• Ensure projects comply with building codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with employees, management, contractors, vendors, and facility representatives to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
• Prepare accurate project reports, forecasts, status updates, and progress documentation.
• Support project teams by promoting collaboration, accountability, and effective communication.
• Manage and maintain daily maintenance tasks through MaintainX.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and facility-related tasks as needed to support project completion and operational continuity.
• Provide on-call support for urgent maintenance requirements, equipment issues, and facility needs.
• Identify potential project risks and maintenance issues and take appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to required quality standards.

This role will support projects involving new construction, facility expansions, renovations, sustainability initiatives, building systems modernization, regulatory compliance, and other facility improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in an active production environment while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and operational continuity.
