Job summary

Korn Ferry, partnering with our client, seeks a Shift Manager (Maintenance) for their Gary, IN facility. Candidates must have strong maintenance leadership, union experience, and the ability to supervise engineers, technicians, and planners to maximize reliability in a 24/7 operation.

Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 plus DOE. A rotating shift supports a continuous manufacturing environment, and candidates with a robust military maintenance background are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years US Military Active Duty experience required.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems, power generation, substations, switchgear, electrical distribution, motor controls, PLC-controlled equipment, or industrial electrical maintenance.
• Union workforce leadership is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles and troubleshooting to evaluate and resolve operational conditions and improve reliability.
• Supervise, direct, and coordinate union maintenance staff to repair and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Engage teams to promote respect, communication, and collaboration through two-way communication and openness to new ideas.
