Job summary

Daily's Premium Meats LLC in Utah is seeking a Maintenance Lead to provide day-to-day leadership of maintenance staff and support the Department Supervisor in achieving safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

The role requires hands-on expertise in building and grounds maintenance, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced, cold production setting. English fluency is required; Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

Experience in building and grounds maintenance.
Food or medical plant experience preferred.
Electrical experience (480/110/low voltage) - PLC/VFD knowledge a plus.
Ammonia Refrigeration experience a plus.
Able to speak, read and write in English a must; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Able to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
Experience in performing preventative maintenance.
Experience in a fast-paced, cold, wet production environment.
Able to interface well with production line workers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety procedures and hold others accountable.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor with day-to-day leadership and management of maintenance employees.
In absence of Maintenance Supervisor, direct, instruct and provide feedback to employees.
Assist Supervisor to ensure new hires are trained properly and existing employees perform safely and with quality.
Coordinate new employee activities and training relative to shift.
Record employee hours and notify Maintenance Manager of concerns in absence of Supervisor.
Perform all duties of Maintenance Techs and assign additional work as needed.
Supervise employees under the Supervisor and follow policies and laws.
Other duties as assigned.
