Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to prep vacant units, handle repair work, and perform general maintenance across properties in Mobile, AL. You’ll tackle plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, painting, and appliance repair while keeping grounds tidy and safe for residents.

You’ll join a hands-on team that values pride in work, ongoing training, and a culture of safety. This role requires physical ability, reliability, and flexibility to work weekends or on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–5 years hands-on maintenance experience required.
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area.
• EPA certification preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with urgency and professionalism.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.

What You’ll Do

• Prep vacant apartments to market-ready condition
• Handle work orders with skill, urgency, and a smile
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections
• Pitch in with snow removal, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks
• Stay alert and on-call for emergency maintenance needs

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.)
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area
• EPA certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions
• Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members
• Available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts
