Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to maintain apartments and common areas, repair and service systems, and support preventative maintenance. You will work with a team to ensure units are ready for move-ins and residents experience reliable service.

This role requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC, a valid license, and physical ability to lift heavy objects. Equal opportunity employer; on-site team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders and work outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill and urgency.
• General maintenance: light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Snow removal, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
• Stay on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
