Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Maintenance Function Manager, DC, in Windsor, CT. You will manage maintenance and repair of equipment, electrical and power systems, and building and grounds to ensure uninterrupted services.

The role includes leading and coaching technicians, developing training, implementing safety programs, and coordinating budgets and staffing. Some shifts and weekends may be required, with travel up to 10% and a salaried compensation range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years in a maintenance lead role or 4+ years in a lead maintenance role
• At least 2 years’ experience in distribution and/or manufacturing
• Experience with CMMS including preventive maintenance implementation
• Basic MS Office 2003+ skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Willing to work rotating shifts
• Willing to travel up to 10% for business (in-state/out-of-state)

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance technicians and trains staff, with performance assessments.
• Directs repair of equipment, electrical and power systems, and building systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Plans maintenance programs and schedules to minimize downtime.
• Manages building grounds maintenance including lawn, landscape, sanitation and parking.
• Oversees budget, hours, and staffing; supervises vacations and turnover.
• Enforces policies, safety programs, and Walgreens procedures; ensures compliance.
• Conducts MBWA; reinforces safety standards and coaches team members.
• Develops operational improvement methods within the function area.
