Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to keep the distribution center operating and to repair system problems as they arise. The role covers pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and conveyor systems and performs complex maintenance tasks, mentoring junior technicians as directed; the shift is typically 10 PM–6:30 AM on a Sunday-Thursday or Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of facility maintenance experience or an associate degree plus relevant experience,

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a facility, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial electricity including motors, sensors and protective devices.
• Experience with PLCs, photo sensors, I/O modules and servo drives.
• Willing to climb to high levels and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and complex mechanical repairs on DC equipment.
• Uses CMMS to maintain machinery and follow manufacturer recommendations.
• Mentors and develops Maintenance Technicians under management guidance.
• Maintains a safe environment by addressing potential safety issues.
