Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Maintenance Safety Coordinator to partner with Safety and EHS teams, organize preventive maintenance, and coordinate repair activities to ensure safe plant operations.

You will manage maintenance tasks, conduct tests, document findings, and work with contractors and cross-functional teams to uphold regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years industrial maintenance, maintenance planning or coordination experience.
  • Experience reading mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS software.
  • Strong organizational and cross-team communication skills.
  • Ability to work occasional weekend coverage or flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Safety and EHS teams to ensure maintenance programs comply with company policies and standards.
  • Organize, schedule, and complete safety-related tasks and preventive maintenance work orders.
  • Support maintenance efforts including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and upkeep of emergency equipment.
  • Conduct mandatory tests and inspections and document corrective actions.
  • Maintain CMMS (MaintainX) and plant spreadsheets with accurate records.
  • Communicate maintenance schedules and updates with Production, Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Oversee plant's specialty and universal waste processes per regulatory requirements.

Maintenance Safety Coordinator

Indianapolis, IN, United States | req31563 1st Shift, 08:00am- 04:30pm Monday-Friday

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will partner closely with the Safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to ensure maintenance programs, inspections, and corrective actions comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • Moreover you will organize, schedule, and complete safety-related program tasks, preventive maintenance work orders, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe and continuous plant operations
  • Further, you will support maintenance efforts including troubleshooting, repair coordination, installation, modification, and upkeep of emergency response equipment and systems
  • A large portion of your scope will be focused on conducting mandatory tests and inspections while ensuring corrective actions are properly documented, tracked, and completed for any identified findings
  • You will manage and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS (MaintainX) and plant-specific spreadsheets, ensuring maintenance records, schedules, timelines, inspection results, and findings are properly recorded and maintained
  • Further you will communicate maintenance schedules, repair timelines, inspection requirements, and completion updates with cross-functional departments including Production, Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance
  • Additionally you will partner with external contractors for specialized maintenance and safety inspections, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company‑specific safety standards
  • Lastly you will oversee the plant's specialty and universal waste processes, working closely with the EHS team to ensure proper handling, storage, documentation, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements
What Makes You Great
  • A High School diploma or GED is required; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, or coordination experience Experience reading and understanding mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a CMMS database is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and with external vendors
  • Ability to work occasional weekend coverage or flexible scheduling as needed
