Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Maintenance Safety Auditor to conduct safety audits and verify compliance with OSHA and JBS safety standards. The role focuses on maintaining a strong safety culture by identifying risks, documenting findings, and driving corrective actions.

You will perform routine audits on maintenance activities and equipment, ensure adherence to safety procedures, and maintain audit records for management review. This is a full-time on-site role based in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Experience in conducting safety audits and identifying risks.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance expectations.
• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools for reporting and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine safety audits on maintenance activities and equipment.
• Verify compliance with Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Hazard Communication, and Powered Industrial Truck procedures.
• Document audit results, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure completion and compliance.
• Audit maintenance employee competency in core safety practices.
• Ensure new hires and current employees understand required safety policies.
• Maintain accurate audit records and communicate findings to management.
• All other duties as assigned.
