Job summary

Metal Technologies Rochester is seeking Maintenance Repairers to troubleshoot and repair foundry equipment as needed. The role supports production reliability and safety in a high-heat environment.

The successful candidate will operate hand and power tools, read instructions, and apply preventive maintenance practices with strong attention to detail and teamwork. Weekend work and adherence to PPE/LOTO procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Must work every other weekend.
• Operate and use hand tools and power tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; or occasionally more.
• Work in high heat environments.
• Understand and follow all safety procedures and requirements.
• Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out).
• Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge.

Description

Maintenance Repairers are a vital part of Metal Technologies Rochester, helping to sustain production. These positions are responsible for trouble shooting and repairing foundry equipment as needed.

Maintenance Class AA $35.19

Maintenance Class A $34.12

Maintenance Class B $33.05

An hourly shift differential of $4.50 is paid for working 2nd shift and $3.75 for working 3rd shift.

Requirements

• Will be required to work every other weekend
• Ability to operate and use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; or, occasionally more.
• Ability to work in high heat environments.
• Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures and requirements.
• Abililty to work in a fast paced environment using preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Basic Knowledge and ability to PLC Troubleshoot.
• Knowledge and understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and management.
• Knowledge and experience using LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out).
• Ability to work weekends.
• Must have good judgement and decision making skills.
• Must have good time management skills.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of how to appropriately wear job required PPE.
• Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions; and, to follow directions with attention to detail.
