State of Louisiana is seeking a Maintenance position in Jackson, LA, within the Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System’s Maintenance Department. The role covers a range of tasks from carpentry to HVAC and requires upkeep of hospital grounds and facilities.
You will operate power tools and perform basic repairs in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting while maintaining a valid driver’s license. Appointment Type: WAE (not to exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period).
Division: Within the Maintenance Department at ELMHS Located in Jackson, LA
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric are in coordination with the total system of care in Louisiana
ELMHS is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join the team in the Maintenance Department. Here the work can comes in a range of different varieties from carpentry to HVAC. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining hospital grounds and facilities by operating landscaping equipment, performing groundskeeping tasks, completing basic repairs in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC/refrigeration, and painting, maintaining equipment.
