Oshkosh AeroTech, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to maintain and troubleshoot airport facility systems and controls. You will manage reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks and document activities in the CMMS to ensure reliable operations on the ramp and hangars.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, can read blueprints and schematics, and is comfortable working day or night shifts, including

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• 3+ years’ experience in equipment and maintenance operations.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Able to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and controls.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions in the CMMS.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, sensors, relays, and other components.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
• Ensure safety compliance and collaborate within a diverse team.

Ideal for someone with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems who thrives in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.OUR BENEFITSJoining Oshkosh Aerotech means becoming a valued member of a dynamic team with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401K, and more!YOUR IMPACTThese duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and controls.Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions in the CMMS.Execute reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including emergency response.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.Promptly communicate critical equipment conditions, operational impacts, and maintenance updates to the Site Manager.Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders to perform required service tasks.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.Troubleshoot and repair motors, motor controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other mechanical and electrical components.Assist with identifying root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.Provide technical assistance and guidance to Facilities Maintenance Technician I employees as needed.Ensure compliance with company safety standards and collaborate effectively within a diverse team.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSValid Driver’s License.3+ years’ experience in equipment and maintenance operationsAbility to obtain airport security clearance.Availability to work day or night shift including weekends and holidays.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.Experience in airport operations or facility maintenance.Plumbing/electrical background with 480V, 3-phase motors.Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematicsWorking knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of a Facilities Maintenance Technician, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
