Oshkosh AeroTech, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Maintenance Repair Technician Level 2 to diagnose, repair and maintain baggage conveyor systems and PBBs at airport facilities. You will perform PM and CM tasks, document activities in CMMS, read manuals, and support operations by clearing baggage jams while prioritizing safety.

The role requires 3–5 years in maintenance, familiarity with 480V/3‑phase motors, and proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance operations.
• Experience with 480V and 3-phase motors.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain baggage conveyor systems and related equipment.
• Maintain and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs).
• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs as needed.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS system and complete PM/CM logs.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform tasks accurately.
• Drive and operate equipment including carts, vehicles and forklifts.
• Respond quickly to baggage jams to support operations.
• Adhere to safety programs and training requirements.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good, close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
