Job summary

Infinitek Limited in partnership with a lumber manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager for its Maine operation. The role is full-time and site-based within an industrial mill environment.

You will lead the maintenance team, improve equipment availability, coordinate maintenance activities across the mill, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Electrical background with hydraulics, pneumatics and welding knowledge.
• Experience using a CMMS and understanding maintenance planning and procurement.
• Practical troubleshooting skills and focus on team development and safety.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the mill maintenance team.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to support production.
• Use CMMS to manage assets, schedule maintenance and track work orders.
• Monitor maintenance performance and identify downtime reduction opportunities.
• Oversee parts procurement and spare-parts availability via supervision of Purchasing Agent.
• Coordinate external contractors and capital projects.

Maintenance & Reliability Manager | Maine, USA

$80,000–$125,000 + relocation assistance

INFINITEK, a specialist technical recruitment consultancy, is working in partnership with a lumber manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance & Reliability Manager for its Maine operation.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the maintenance team, improve equipment availability and coordinate maintenance activities across the mill. This position combines team leadership with technical oversight, maintenance planning and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of millwrights, ensuring safe working practices.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to support production requirements.
• Use the CMMS to manage assets, schedule maintenance and track work orders.
• Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime.
• Oversee parts procurement and spare-parts availability through supervision of the Purchasing Agent.
• Coordinate external contractors and support maintenance projects and capital expansion.

Experience required:

• Industrial maintenance experience with previous management, leadership and training responsibilities.
• An electrical background, alongside working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and welding.
• Experience using a CMMS and understanding maintenance planning and procurement.
• A practical approach to troubleshooting, team development and workplace safety.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and experience communicating across maintenance and production teams.

This is a full-time, year-round, site-based position within an industrial mill environment.
