The Reliability Specialist provides technical expertise and support to the maintenance department for production equipment and systems.
Job Duties
Identifies failures / impacts to prioritize reliability activities addressing financials and efficiencies.
The Reliability Engineer provides engineering know-how to successfully support plant equipment reliability and the scoping / execution of maintenance projects.
Analyzes equipment failure data to identify root causes / patterns / trends and implements solutions to prevent recurrence.
Provides support and equipment consultations on Capital Project installations.
Documents design improvements via CAD, updating of Operational & Maintenance Procedures and recommending tools.
Collaborates with Operations, Maintenance and other Plant personnel to identify problems and implement solutions.
Performs and documents Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
Leads and trains Maintenance Team members in RCFA methodology.
Designs & implements Maintenance procedures to address equipment deficiencies and improve equipment performance / reliability.
Works closely with both operations and maintenance in the development of long‑term equipment maintenance strategies and operator basic care (OBC) as well as support troubleshooting efforts through formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
