Job summary

Long-Term-Facility in Covina, CA is seeking a Maintenance & Refrigeration Lead to oversee the Maintenance and Refrigeration teams, ensuring safe and efficient operation of utilities and production equipment including ammonia refrigeration, cogeneration, boilers, and air systems.

You will manage daily maintenance scheduling, troubleshoot, maintain safety, lead a hands-on technical team, and coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance, serving as the liaison between maintenance and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
+10 years of refrigeration maintenance experience, preferably ammonia-based.
Strong understanding of utilities equipment including cogen systems.
Experience with team leadership and technical supervision.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Supervise refrigeration mechanics, coil cleaners, cogen operators, and maintenance technicians.
Lead passdown meetings and ensure alignment across shifts.
Assign, coordinate, and follow up on daily work schedules and emergency repairs.
Monitor lunch/breaks and shift safety procedures; ensure compliance.
Support evaluations and development plans for maintenance team members.
Reallocate technicians as needed to meet changing priorities.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, steam, water, and air systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement repairs or upgrades.
Maintain CMMS data entry and report maintenance metrics.
Coordinate parts procurement, planning calendars, and future job readiness.
Ensure GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and plant safety protocols are followed.
