Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a PRN Maintenance worker to keep resident areas clean and safe, ensuring a cheerful and timely service environment. The role emphasizes communication with residents and staff to maintain high standards of care.

The position offers opportunities to contribute to person-centered care in a senior living setting, with variety across communities, home health, hospice, and office locations. Pay starts at $13.00/hr and increases with experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry in long-term care is preferred; a positive attitude is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces as scheduled or assigned.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping as scheduled or assigned.
• Reports issues with lighting, equipment, or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and staff; follows policies to ensure quality care.

Pay: Starting at $13.00/hr, increases with experience

Positions: PRN

Responsibilities:

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, etc. by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping or damp/wet mopping as scheduled or assigned
• Empties trash, cleans trash receptacles and transports trash to proper area
• Reports burned out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, pest control problems and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and personnel
• Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained
• Communicates, coordinates and cooperates with other team members
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous Housekeeping and/or Laundry experience in long term care preferred; positive attitude
