Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) in Mount Pleasant, TX. You will support Maintenance, Production and Sanitation, perform basic facility maintenance, replace HVAC filters and wash coils, and assist with lighting and preventative tasks.

Forklift repair and HVAC repair experience is preferred; 1–5 years manufacturing experience is desirable. OSHA/GMP knowledge, teamwork, and safe work practices are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Forklift repair and HVAC repair experience preferred.
• 1–5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, OSHA and production needs.
• Proven ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Working knowledge of maintenance jargon and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work with and assist Maintenance, Production & Sanitation personnel.
• Requires working inside/outside, in the heat/cold, including elevated areas (ex. roof/silos).
• Conduct forklift battery changes and clean / detail forklifts.
• Replace HVAC filters & wash coils.
• Ensure proper lighting is maintained throughout the facility by replacing bulbs as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and cleaning of facility exhaust & supply fans.
• Perform basic facility maintenance as assigned.
• Record maintenance data as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor & Manager to monitor equipment performance.
• Identify and report equipment concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
• Participate in overtime assignments as required.
• Provide on-call coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

• Requires working inside/outside, in the heat/cold, including elevated areas (ex. roof/silos)
