Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to oversee plumbing, steam and hydronics systems across district facilities. You will respond to service calls, assist staff and vendors, and troubleshoot equipment failures.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of related experience, a valid Minnesota Class D driver's license, and the ability to read plans. On-site work may include licensure stipends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years in plumbing/hydronics/HVAC/building maintenance repair.
• Valid Class D Minnesota Driver's License.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Ability to read, understand and follow architectural, electrical, mechanical, and schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain district plumbing systems, steam and hydronics systems, shop facilities, pumps repairs, records and inventories.
• Respond to service calls as assigned.
• Assist building staff, other maintenance staff, and vendors with repairs of plumbing and hydronics/HVAC devices and equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydronics/HVAC equipment failures.
• Maintain truck inventory and department tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or designee.
