Job summary

Oxy is seeking a Maintenance Planner to enhance maintenance execution by reviewing SAP notifications, developing detailed work plans, and driving scheduling within SAP. The role collaborates with field operations, project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure work is properly scoped, prioritized, and executed.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, or related field.
• Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and oil & gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and prioritize SAP notifications and work requests.
• Develop detailed job plans, including labor, materials, and sequencing of activities.
• Coordinate and support scheduling and execution of planned work.
• Partner with field operations, engineers, and project teams to align on priorities and execution plans.
• Interface with Finance, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
• Review and validate field data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper SAP entry.
• Drive consistency in data standards and work management practices.
• Lead and facilitate planning and scheduling meetings with field operations teams.
• Communicate priorities, risks, and constraints to stakeholders.
• Utilize KPIs and reporting tools to track performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate insights and performance trends to relevant stakeholders.

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in enabling efficient and effective execution of maintenance work. This position works directly with the business to review SAP notifications, develop detailed work plans, and drive the scheduling and completion of maintenance activities within SAP. The Planner partners closely with field operations, project managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure work is properly scoped, prioritized, and executed. This role also interfaces with Finance, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, and external vendors to support end‑to‑end work management and financial accuracy. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires strong analytical capability, effective communication, technical proficiency, and a proactive problem‑solving mindset. Experience with SAP and familiarity with oil and gas operations is preferred.
