Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Planning Manager in Redwood, MS to lead planning for mill maintenance and outages. You will supervise electrical and mechanical planners, ensure work orders are well-scoped, and coordinate with purchasing to source materials.

The role emphasizes rigorous planning, safety and cost control in a large manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in maintenance planning, experience in Pulp & Paper, and strong proficiency in SAP and MS Project.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance planning experience in a mill setting.
• Pulp & Paper Mill maintenance planning experience preferred.
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plans maintenance work to be scheduled for a future date and tracks performance.
• Screens Work Orders for completeness and makes necessary corrections.
• Conducts site reviews with maintenance staff to confirm job scope.
• Estimates costs of Work Orders including labor, materials and services.
• Verifies materials, tools and parts needed for each Work Order.
• Audits availability of parts and tools before scheduling.
• Develops staging practices and supports outage planning.
• Maintains equipment history files and SAP-PM data.
• Acts as Contractor Coordinator for outages and annual outage lead.
• Contributes to the 12‑Month Event Schedule and monthly outage planning.
