Job summary

CoorsTek in Worcester, MA is seeking a Maintenance Planning Coordinator to plan, schedule and coordinate facility maintenance activities. You will leverage CMMS/BMS knowledge to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work with plant management, suppliers and maintenance teams to ensure parts availability, accurate work orders and timely execution, while tracking KPIs and continuously improving maintenance processes.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 8 years of experience in facility services.
  • Experience with maintenance purchasing and project management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CMMS and BMS tools.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule repairs, renovations projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections.
  • Maintain CMMS records and reflect facility conditions; ensure tasks are updated.
  • Coordinate with inventory and supply chain to ensure parts availability for maintenance schedules.
  • Identify and implement preventive maintenance activities for facilities and production systems.
  • Monitor work orders, approve/close them, and optimize maintenance processes.

It's exciting to work for a company that makes the world measurably better.We're committed to bringing safety, quality, and customer focus to the business of advanced ceramics manufacturing.Job TitleMaintenance Planning CoordinatorTo plan, schedule, and coordinate the efficient and high-quality execution of facility maintenance responsibilities Utilizes high level of technical expertise in order to deliver the right support in the multiple areas of responsibilities to a high performing manufacturing team.Roles & Responsibilities:Under limited supervision, owns the process of purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and proceduresSchedules repairs, renovations projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspectionsParticipates in purchasing activities with manufacturing and maintenance departments to maintain inventoryResponsible for identifying and proposing preventive maintenance activities based on established procedures for all facilities and production systems.Attend and actively participate in manufacturing meetings in order to proactively understand the team’s priorities, and concerns as well as identify opportunities for improvement in the facilities maintenance department.Monitors work in progress. Ensures work orders are kept in proper status and that all charges are properly posted and closes work orders when complete.May authorize the payment of invoices or return of merchandiseCoordination & scheduling of multiple system / equipment repairs and maintenance work orders for the facilityHelp develop preventative and predictive maintenance plans for the facilityWorks closely with plant management to maximize maintenance schedule attainment.Maintain records and updates on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database to reflects facility conditions. This includes adjusting tasking and schedules to ensure maintenance optimizationMonitors maintenance system transactions for accuracy and works with leaders to correct discrepancies and eliminate the fundamental causes of the problemsCoordinates material delivery with inventory to support maintenance schedule. May examine material delivered to production to verify conformance to specifications.Collects and assembles key performance indicators for Facilities DepartmentMaintains inventory records and requisitions as necessary to ensure maintenance schedules are metLiaise with Supply chain department to provide recommendations on supplier selectionExpedites maintenance operations that delay schedules and alters schedule to meet unforeseen conditionsManage consumables for the facilityMay work any and all shifts/days as requiredJob Requirements:Education:Associate degree, Tech or trade school degree or 8 years’ experience in the facility services industry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExposure to field service and/or maintenance industryExperience on Maintenance purchasing, and project management requiredFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Maintains high level of understanding of technical product and process knowledge. Must be a self-starter with demonstrated leadership/supervision experience skillsMust have effective planning, organizational, decision making skills and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.Possesses and advanced understanding of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and building management system (BMS) tools and techniques.Performs tasks requiring advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgroundsPosition Specific Title and Responsibilities:Identifies and implements improvements to the maintenance processes on siteMust have in-depth working knowledge and experience in preventative and predictive maintenanceWork with maintenance group and vendors to ensure necessary parts are on hand while minimizing overall inventory valueHelp develop and maintain procedures for parts and work orders and ensure the plant compliance with required protocols.Identifies and implements improvements to the maintenance processes on siteExperience in managing the parts inventory system.
