JOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and optimizing the maintenance activities of the organization to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and systems. This role involves developing maintenance schedules, data collection, coordinating resources, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all necessary materials and tools are available for maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler works closely with maintenance teams, production staff, and management to minimize downtime and maximize operational performance through matriculas planning and preparation.RESPONSIBILITIES:Creates and communicates mechanics' work scheduleMaintain and update equipment listings and recordsChampion for Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s)Demonstrates the ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resourcesCreates and schedules work using a CMMS, email, and other forms of communicationCreates and communicates reports using the CMMS and other data collection softwareFollows up for answers in unresolved situationsIdentify opportunities to simplify and/or improve processMeasures maintenance performance and takes appropriate actionDevelopment and maintain positive, productive relations with all customer/ partner groupsWorks with the Engineers and Maintenance crew to ensure operational needs are metWorks cross-functionally to achieve goalsFollows all GMP’sEnsures the production of a safe, high-quality productQUALIFICATIONS:Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler or similar role.Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and strategies.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates in a production environment. The employee is frequently exposed to facility elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
