Position Purpose :
Under minimal supervision and while working as a member of engineering department, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible for providing planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities using the MAXIMO computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and Microsoft Access. This position will work at both the North and South campuses as required with the maintenance groups, customers, and outside agencies as required to ensure efficient utilization of the maintenance resources and compliance to maintenance management codes and regulations in the healthcare environment. This position will also need to work closely with other departments to support hospital and engineering department goals. In addition, this individual will have responsibility to ensure applicable business information/work order data is stored and maintained to support business decisions when needed.

Manage engineering operational data including the Maximo CMMS under the direction of the director of engineering.
Maintains commitment to personal growth and competency.
Contributes to the safe operation of the Plant and Engineering Department.
Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.
Contributes to the effective operations of the Hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education:Associate Degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
Experience:5 Years in Maintenance and /or Facility Operation
Skills:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, and basic understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is required. Good organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with various departmental personnel at all levels. Experience with Maximo a plus.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Mental stress is encountered due to the professional demands of the position.Position requires ability to frequently perform simple manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills; walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
