Job summary

Nufarm in Chicago Heights is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to optimize plant operations. You’ll plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime and support safe, efficient production.

Work closely with maintenance, operations, procurement and partners to ensure the right work is done at the right time. The role requires 3–5 years in maintenance planning or scheduling, and CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience using CMMS and work order management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Maintenance or planning certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules aligned with production needs
• Review, prioritize and track maintenance work orders to ensure timely and effective completion
• Coordinate materials, parts, tools, internal resources and external vendors to support maintenance execution
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history and performance data
• Analyze maintenance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and cost control
• Support planned shutdowns, turnarounds and major maintenance activities
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Nufarm safety standards and regulatory requirements

Could This Be You?

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Management or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience using CMMS and work order management systems
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work cross‑functionally
• Maintenance or planning certifications are an advantage

What We Offer

The base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 per year. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
