Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner for the La Porte, TX plant to optimize maintenance work, manage schedules, and ensure safe, cost-effective execution. The role emphasizes planning, cost awareness, and coordinating with operations and contractors.

The position requires 5 years of maintenance planning experience in a chemical setting, strong communication, and proficiency with SAP and Excel. The site operates 24/7, with extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years maintenance planning and mechanical craft experience in a chemical plant or refinery environment.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong computer skills (Excel).
• Able to climb ladders, wear PPE, lift 50 lbs, and work elevated areas.

Responsibilities

• Track and provide updates on day-to-day maintenance work on the schedule with status to Maintenance Supervisor and Superintendent.
• Lead and participate in weekly/monthly maintenance planning and backlog meetings with operations teams.
• Provide updates on projected delivery times of parts to aid scheduling.
• Assist in PM compliance tracking and drive the team to meet 100% compliance.
• Coordinate with North American PM coordination team for assignment of PMs.
• Assist and lead planning and execution of smaller plant outages outside the North American Turn Around Team.
• Oversee contractors during job walks and ensure safety and quality.
