Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Maintenance Planner for the La Porte, TX plant. This role prioritizes, scopes, and plans maintenance work orders to maximize workforce efficiency while emphasizing safety and cost control.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of maintenance planning experience in a chemical plant or refinery, with strong SAP/Excel skills, the ability to read P&ID diagrams, and a collaborative, safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 5+ years in maintenance planning in chemical/ refinery environments.
• Experience leading maintenance planning activities and coordinating with operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills (MS Office).
• Ability to read engineering specs, vendor docs, piping and instrument diagrams, drawings.

Responsibilities

• Track and update day-to-day maintenance on the schedule and report status to the Maintenance Supervisor and Superintendent.
• Lead weekly/monthly maintenance planning and backlog meetings with operations teams.
• Provide updates on parts delivery times to aid scheduling.
• Assist in tracking PM compliance and drive toward 100% compliance.
• Coordinate with North American PM team to assign PMs to equipment and update as needed.
