Job summary

Amcor, a global leader in packaging, is seeking a maintenance professional to improve equipment reliability and asset availability. You will develop efficient maintenance schedules, manage parts inventory, and enhance predictive and preventive maintenance programs across production lines.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a proven track record in manufacturing maintenance, and the ability to coordinate internal teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Associates or Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • A four-year degree from an accredited college would meet formal requirements or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Previous work experience as a maintenance mechanic or electrician

Responsibilities

  • Promote and assure safe work habits and compliance with safety procedures
  • Ensure equipment, parts and personnel are available to complete work orders with minimal downtime
  • Create and communicate work orders from maintenance requests and schedules
  • Review completed work orders for discrepancies and close them
  • Provide technical advice on equipment modification and project estimates
  • Prioritize planned work based on availability, safety impact and contractor availability
  • Coordinate contractor services for special projects or to augment maintenance
  • Collect data on equipment breakdowns and improve maintenance programs
  • Implement and manage training to grow maintenance knowledge
  • Monitor progress on difficult problems and projects
  • Coordinate resources and schedules for maintenance activities
